I'm new to Mr. Leverone and it looks like I'll be reading more of his work in the near future. This book was a wild ride down the track of Jack Sheridan's writing genius. It took a few pages to figure out a few important facts but one I did so I was pleasantly surprised and definitely caught up in the story of a man whose life no one would ask for but who would be pleased that that man had so chosen to live. In fact, many of us find ourselves contented knowing there are Jack Sheridans in our world protecting us and doing the things we can't bring ourselves to admit even exists. Without them evil would run rampant. In this case I'm reminded of the awakening exchange between the characters in the trial scene, played by Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson, when Tom asks Jack to just tell the truth and all that needed to be said to all of us that there are men who stand on the wall to protect us and that we need them standing on that wall. Well, we need Jack Sheridan just as much.Product details

Jack Sheridan is stuck in a perilous situation. A corrupt politician has given him a no win choice. Jack can murder another politician or a little kidnapped girl will be killed. This choice makes for an amazing and chilling thriller. I couldn't put it down!

I won this book from the author and it does not affect my review. This is the second book for Jack Sheridan. Lt. Governor Chilcott thinks he can use Jack to do his bidding. Chilcott has Jack’s girlfriend’s daughter kidnapped. He tells Jack that if he wants her back, Jack will have to kill who he tells him to. Jack has to explain to his girlfriend what kind of work he does and that it is his fault she was kidnapped. He promises her that he will get her back or die trying. Of course, Jack will never do what he is told and only knows one way to get her back.
I just finished reading this book last night and I was so upset. I wasn't upset with the book, I was upset it was over! I so looked forward to going to bed to read and see where this thriller was going to take me next. Jack Sheridan was on a mission and no one was going to stop him until he was done! But he's done now, and sadly so is the book. (
I like how tastefully the author handled the violence content in Trigger Warning. It wasn't over the top like some books can be. I really don't like books with violence that is so bad and descriptive that it makes me feel sick to my stomach. There's enough of that in the world. This was just the right amount, any more would have been a turn off, and any less wouldn't have been realistic to the story.
I would really love this particular story line to continue. I want to know what's going to happen with Jack and Edie!!! I can't say any more because I don't want to spoil it for those that haven't read it yet. Maybe this time Edie could get kidnapped by someone else we don't know of yet that was working with Bradley Chilcott and wants revenge??? Just a thought! ;)
Anyway, read this book! It's awesome and you're going to love it.

I haven't read the first book in this series, but if it's like book two, I should pick it up. Fast, exciting, great storytelling. Loved it!
Love Jack in the 2nd book. He is showing a little humanity. Wish it was a little longer though.
Hope Edie and her daughter are a bigger part of the continuing series.

Jack Sheridan, became contract assassin after service and first time has a girlfriend, he really cares about. He also adores her seven years old daughter. Wife abusing, dirty lieutenant governor wants Jack to kill governor so he can be governor. To make this possible, wants Jack to kill him, by arranging the kidnapping of the little girl. Good story, but don't read the epilogue before going to sleep. Can't wait for the next book.
